My Faith Journey by Pippa Cook

Ann TubbyI was brought up in a Christian home, where Sundays largely consisted of walking two or three times to and from the Congregational Church where we worshipped. Week nights too were spent in the Church building with choir practice and Girls’ Brigade. My father often asked me to play for The Boys’ Brigade Bible Class. So the Church, its services and activities were a large part of my life at home.

I trained as a teacher in Birmingham and with a fellow student attended the college Christian Fellowship and various churches there.

I came to Norfolk quite by accident (or God’s design!) and Malcolm and I married a year later. We moved to Stibbard, and the Methodist  Church here, when Sarah was eight months old. I later began to play the organ regularly and have done so for about 35 years now.

In all my life I have felt God leading. Not because I have made a decision and then prayed about it, but because He had made the decision and then pushed me or held me back!
